Breathing is a natural process which can be used for relaxation. There are many people who use breathing regularly so that they can eliminate problems of stress from their mind. The process of breathing is natural and can be used in a specific manner so that stress and tension from mind could be eliminated and you can have a strong and relaxed mind. Here are some techniques which can be used for breathing and relaxation naturally and without problems.

Equal breathing

This process of breathing is related with counting the incoming and outgoing air. You can start with four counts while taking the air in your body. Then you can take the air out of your body on the count of four. With the passage of time, you can increase the counts to 6 or even 8. To start the process 4 is a reasonable count and you are able to get relaxation. You can do this type of exercise with your breathing at any time. You can also use this technique of breathing at the time of sleeping. Many people find it easy to get relaxed with the help of this technique and get sleep easily without the use of medicines and other things. You must make sure that nose is used for breathing process in this technique.

Abdominal breathing

This method is related to breathing with stomach and not through lungs. You must make sure that your stomach is inflated and there is pressure on your lungs when the air is in the breathing process. This type of technique is helpful for reduction of tension and working well in all types of situations. Mostly this type of technique is used for an exam and other problems situations when the person is under pressure and stress. Continue this process for some minutes and you will feel that stress is gone and your body is relaxed to face the challenges. You must have one hand on your chest and another hand on your stomach while using this technique. Use your nose during this technique for taking in and out of the air.

This method is related to breathing with stomach and not through lungs. You must make sure that your stomach is inflated and there is pressure on your lungs when the air is in the breathing process. Alternate breathing through nostrils

This method is helpful for increasing strength of the brain. In this method, the person is required to take the air in through the right nostril and then close the right nostril with the right thumb. The air is taken out from the body through the left nostril then it is closed with the help of left thumb. This process is continued till relaxation is achieved. This type of method is helpful for making the mind active and strong. It is not good to use this method at the time of sleeping as it is working for activating the mind like a coffee or any other energy drink.

Skull shining method

In this method, you are required to take a long breath in the body through the nose. Then you must use the nose for fast exhale of air. This process must be continued for almost 10 breaths. This method is helpful for increasing strength of mind and you will feel energized after this process. Just focus on incoming and outgoing air through your nose and you will get results. This process can be done at any time when you need power for your mind and have refreshing results. This is not suitable for a sleeping time as this process will refresh your mind and increase the power of working.

Progressive relaxation

This technique is related to taking in The air and then keeping it for some seconds. Then you must start tension in your muscles starting from the bottom. First stretch the toes and feet, then on upper body parts, till mouth. Use nostrils for intake and out of air during this process. This process can lead to relaxation and dizziness and you can fall asleep if you perform it at the time of sleeping on the bed. You can perform this method at any time in order to get relaxation and calmness. You can continue this process for the desired length of time.

Guided visualization

In this technique, the person is required to sit straight and close eyes. Take deep breaths during this process as if you are in a company of a teacher and taking lectures. You can remain silent and keep calm while taking deep breaths. This type of breathing could be used at any time and place for getting relaxation. You can sit on the floor or any other chair for taking relaxation and breathing in this method.
